Adding Mac to MDM Management from Twocanoes

You are here:
  1. Connect each Mac Mini to Ethernet, keyboard, mouse, power and monitor to the Mac mini.
  2. Install Apple Configurator for iPhone on an iOS device and launch Apple Configurator for iPhone.
  3. Enter in the username and password provided:
  4. Verify the account with text or phone call:
  5. Create a password:
  6. Tap the gear in the lower left corner:
  7. Apply the settings show below (Don’t share WiFi, Specific MDM server set to SimpleMDM) and tap the blue checkmark in the upper right corner.
  8. On the Mac mini press enter to select language.
  9. When the Add this Mac to Your Organization screen appears scan the image in Apple Configurator on your iPhone or iPad.
  10. Select the shutdown options on the screen when it finishes.
  11. Notify Twocanoes that the device has been enrolled and it will be set up in the MDM.

Automatic Setup

Once the device is setup in MDM and you have been notified by Twocanoes to proceed, follow the instructions below:

  1. Plug one Mac to power, Ethernet, HDMI, Keyboard, and mouse.
  2. Turn on the Mac mini.
  3. DO NOT SELECT ANYTHING OR CLICK THE MOUSE. This will stop the automatic process of going through the setup assistant. If it does not start after 2 minutes, you will need to restart the machine.
