Configuring XCreds With Jamf Pro

XCreds can be configurated in Jamf Pro with a user interface by importing the preference manifest provided by Twocanoes Software. This makes it easy to create, update and deploy settings.

  1. In Jamf Pro, select Computers->Computer Management->Configuration Profiles and click New.
  1. Give the profile a name and select Level to be Computer Level.
  1. Select External Applications.
  1. Select the source to be Custom Schema.
  1. Set the preference domain to be com.twocanoes.xcreds. Click Add schema.
  1. In the dialog that appears, select Upload.
  1. Select the file called com.twocanoes.xcreds.json. This json file can be found in the XCreds resources or on the ProfileManifestsMirror Github repository.
  1. Click Save to save the uploaded schema.
  1. Select Add/Remove properties.
  1. Select PROPERTY to deselect all properties, and only select the properties you want to configure. Click Apply.
  1. Enter in the values for the properties to be set and click Save.
  1. Click the back arrow and your profile is now ready to be deployed.
