DFU Blaster Pro Troubleshooting
With DFU Blaster Pro, you can put a Mac system into DFU mode with a single button press and restore macOS. If you are having trouble putting a device into DFU mode or restoring, please try these troubleshooting tips.
DFU Mode
- Verify the DFU port for the admin and target device and try again.
- Restart the target device and try DFU mode again.
- Verify the cable with another device, and try another cable.
- Quit DFU Blaster Pro and restart the Admin Mac.
- Check that the target device is on.
Restoring

- Apple Configurator only shows the devices in DFU mode connected to the DFU port on the target Mac as available to restore. Verify that the Mac is shown in Apple Configurator before restoring.
- Admin Macs running an earlier macOS version than the current released macOS need to update the mobile framework in Apple Configurator.
- When restoring from a custom IPSW, check that the target Mac supports the macOS being restored.
- Check the available free space in the lower left corner of the DFU Blaster main window on the Admin Mac before restoring. The Admin Macs need about 15GB (IPSW size) of free space for each restoring Mac, and 9GB per device for iOS/iPadOS devices.

Acroname Hub
- If the Port 0 yellow light is not on when connected to the Admin Mac, try unplugging the cable from the hub and plugging it back in. If it still does not show, power cycle the hub and restart the Admin Mac.
- The last non 0 number under the USB Address section will identify the port number in the Acroname Hub window.
