Winclone 5.5 is available now and compatible with OS X 10.11 El Capitan. Twocanoes encourages all Winclone users running El Capitan to update to Winclone 5.5. If you have not yet upgraded to El Capitan, we have some tips for a successful upgrade below.
To update Winclone 5, select from the Winclone menu "Check for updates" and follow the prompts to update to Winclone 5.5. Winclone 4 users can take advantage of upgrade pricing to purchase Winclone 5.5.
Apple introduced a new security feature in El Capitan, System Integrity Protection (SIP), that protects system files and processes from malicious compromise. Restoring a Winclone image to pre-2013 Macs and Windows 7 Boot Camp are affected and SIP must be disabled. Newer Macs running Windows 8 or above are fully compatible with SIP.

Also new in El Capitan is the the way Boot Camp Assistant handles installation of Windows. On the latest MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, Boot Camp Assistant in El Capitan creates a temporary partition to store the Windows installer.
