Restore Apple Silicon Mac Using MDS

Need to get back to factory default and completely wipe your machine (regardless of the state it is in)?

  1. Open MDS
  2. Select Apple Silicon Restore
  3. Plug your target Mac into the Mac running MDS (using a USB-C) cord
  4. Click DFU mode… then click Restore with Apple Configurator
  5. Now your Mac is at its factory default with the most recent version of macOS restored
