Today we released Winclone 5, the next version of our Boot Camp cloning utility for OS X. I have always hesitated to call Winclone a “backup” utility, since the sys admin in me always considered backup utilities to be both file based and have the ability to do incremental backups. With Winclone 5, we can now proudly (and correctly) say that it is a full backup utility for your Boot Camp partition. Winclone 5 includes the ability to do a full image of your Boot Camp Partition, and we also added Winclone Backup, a new utility that does a full file based backup of the Users’ folder in Windows from your Boot Camp partition. It supports incremental backups and scheduling.
We also introduced a new edition: Winclone Basic. It is a lower priced option for folks that just need the basic features of Boot Camp backup and cloning at a lower price point. It has a simplified user interface and makes cloning simple.
