Introducing DFU Blaster Pro

Today, we are introducing a new product, DFU Blaster Pro. DFU Blaster Pro makes it simple to put an Apple Silicon Mac into DFU mode to completely wipe and restore macOS in just a few minutes. It can do this with the press of a single button rather than a complicated, error-prone process of holding keys at startup. DFU Blaster Pro makes it easy to put one or many Macs into DFU mode and restore all the Macs with any supported version of macOS.

Using DFU Blaster Pro

We designed DFU Blaster Pro with 4 scenarios in mind: One-to-One, One-to-Many Directly Connected, One-to-Many Hub Connected, and One-to-Many Connected to an Acroname Hub.

One to One

DFU Blaster Pro makes it easy to plug a USB-C cable between two Apple Silicon Macs, put the target Mac into DFU mode, and restore the target mac.

One to Many Directly Connected Mac

Since Apple Silicon Macs have multiple USB-C ports and multiple USB buses, DFU Blaster Pro makes it easy to restore multiple Macs at once by putting the target Macs into DFU mode, plugging them into the Mac running DFU Blaster Pro, and restoring them at the same time. Using the Automatic DFU feature of DFU Blaster Pro, putting multiple Macs into DFU mode is a breeze.

One to Many Hub-Connected Macs

Since many organizations that restore Apple devices already have existing USB hubs, DFU Blaster Pro supports restoring up to 16 Macs at one time using any USB hub. Simply put all the target Macs into DFU mode using the Automatic DFU feature, and then plug all the target Macs into the USB Hub. The Mac system running DFU Blaster Pro can then restore all the Mac systems connected to the hub at once.

One to Many Macs Connected to a Acroname Hub3c

The simplest way to restore multiple Macs at once is to use the Acroname Hub3c. Support for using the Acroname Hub and putting Mac systems into DFU mode is built right into DFU Blaster Pro. Simply connect all the target Macs to the Acroname Hub3c, and DFU Blaster Pro can put the target devices into DFU mode and restore them. When the restoration is complete, another set of Macs can be plugged in, put into DFU mode, and restored.
