Version 5.3 is available to download from XCreds Version History.

UI Updates

  • Notify user if local account is locked
  • Additional keys to customize UI dialogs
  • Customizable logo on Username / Password login window
  • Updated look and feel of Username / Password login window
  • Can set different background for secondary monitor(s)
  • Can set alpha for backgrounds of menu, primary and secondary displays

Installer

Installer (and -i and -r flags) now install launchagent to automatically launch XCreds in user space. If needed, this can be modified using the new preference key shouldRemoveMenuItemAutoLaunch. Then correspondingly the preference key shouldShowQuitMenu will now default to false. For environments where the XCreds menubar app will be manually launched and quit, both shouldRemoveMenuItemAutoLaunch and shouldShowQuitMenu should be set to true.

Other Fixes

  • Improved reliability of Kerberos and PSSO
  • Added basic auth option to ROPG
  • Changed timer to not attempt background password checking after a password failure has occurred
